Every trip we run is only the travellers who booked it. A couple travels as a couple: we never fold you into a bigger group to fill seats, and if you would like company on the road you can ask to join a small group instead. Most couples don't.
It is the same four-day loop everyone comes for (Quan Ba Heaven's Gate, Lung Cu at Vietnam's northern tip, Ma Pi Leng, the Nho Que river), taken at about 50 to 100 km a day, so there is time to stop wherever the two of you want to stop.
Each of you rides as a passenger behind your own local rider-guide (one rider per traveller), the two bikes travelling and stopping together. No licence and no riding experience needed. Open air, the whole valley around you, and for two people the lower price.
A private 7-seat car and driver for just you. You sit side by side, talk the whole way and nobody rides. One honest note: four passes of switchbacks inside a car can make people carsick who never feel it on the back of a bike.
All three nights you have a private room with its own bathroom. It is in the price; nobody pays extra for it. Night one is with a Dao family in their homestay at Nam Dam, night two in a hotel in Dong Van old town (at Lo Lo Chai in some seasons), night three in a homestay at Du Gia.
Dinner at a homestay is yours, with the family hosting you: nobody else is put at your table. Evenings are quiet, because this is not a party tour, and the mornings start early, when the light on the passes is best.
Day three is the big one: the Ma Pi Leng pass and its skywalk, then an hour by boat on the jade-green Nho Que river through Tu San canyon. Day four starts with time to swim at the Du Gia waterfall, follows the quiet Duong Thuong back road, and ends with coffee at the Cat Ly viewpoint before you are back in Ha Giang City at about half past four.
